उत्तर प्रदेश की पमुख नदियां
गंगा और यमुना उत्तर प्रदेश की सबसे प्रमुख नदियां हैं – गंगा उत्तर प्रदेश की सबसे लम्बी नदी है, उत्तर प्रदेश की नदियों को उद्गम स्थल के आधार पर तीन भागों में बनता जाता सकता है: –
- हिमालय से निकलने वाली नदियां : – गंगा, यमुना, काली/शारदा, रामगंगा, घाघरा, गंडक।
- उत्तर प्रदेश के मैदानी भाग से निकलने वाली नदियां :- गोमती, वरुणा, पांडों, इसन, रिहंद।
- दक्षिण पठार से निकलने वाली नदियाँ:- चंबल, बेतवा, केन, सोन, टोंस, कन्हार, रिहंद।
#1. गंगा नदी
उद्गम स्थल – गंगोत्री (उत्तराखंड)
लम्बाई (किमी) – 2,655
समापन – बंगाल की खाड़ी
सहायक नदियां – अलकनंदा, भागीरथी, रामगंगा, यमुना, कोसी, घाघरा, गंडक, गोमती।
#2. यमुना नदी
उद्गम स्थल – उत्तराखंड में बन्दरपूँछ पर्वत के यमुनोत्री हिमनद से।
लम्बाई (किमी) – 1376
समापन – इलाहाबाद में गंगा नदी से संगम
सहायक नदियां – चंबल, बेतवा, गिरी, केन
#3. रामगंगा नदी
उद्गम स्थल – उत्तराखंड के दूधातोली पर्वत से
लम्बाई – 590 किलोमीटर
समापन – कन्नौज के निकट गंगा में मिल जाती है।
सहायक नदियां – कोह
#4. घाघरा नदी
उद्गम स्थल – तिब्बत
लम्बाई – 1080 किलोमीटर
समापन – छपरा के निकट गंगा नदी में
सहायक नदियां – रपटा, शारदा, छोटी गंडक
#5. गोमती नदी
उद्गम स्थल – उत्तर प्रदेश का पीलीभीत जनपद
लम्बाई – 940 किलोमीटर
समापन – गाजीपुर के निकट गंगा नदी में
सहायक नदियां – जोमकाई, बर्ना, संई, गच्छा
#6. शारदा (काली) नदी
उद्गम स्थल – तिब्बत नेपाल सीमा पर धौलागिरी पर्वत
लम्बाई – 630 (भारत में 300) किलोमीटर
समापन – उत्तर प्रदेश में बहराम घाट के निकट घाघरा नदी में
सहायक नदियां – सरयू, पूर्वी रामगंगा, दहावर, सुहेली, धरया, लिसार।
#7. गंडक नदी
उद्गम स्थल – तिब्बत नेपाल सीमा पर धौलागिरी पर्वत।
लम्बाई – 630 किलोमीटर।
समापन – पटना के निकट गंगा नदी में।
सहायक नदियां – त्रिशूली गंगा।
#8. राप्ती नदी
उद्गम स्थल – नेपाल।
लम्बाई – 640 किलोमीटर।
समापन – बारहस के निकट घाघरा नदी में।
#9. चंबल नदी
उद्गम स्थल – मध्य प्रदेश।
लम्बाई – 966 किलोमीटर।
समापन – इटावा के पास यमुना नदी में।
सहायक नदियां – पार्वती, नवाज़, बनास, क्षिप्रा, दूधी।
#10. बेतवा नदी
उद्गम स्थल – मध्य प्रदेश।
लम्बाई – 480 किलोमीटर।
समापन – हमीपुर के पास यमुना नदी में।
#11. सोन नदी
उद्गम स्थल – मध्य प्रदेश
लम्बाई – 784 किलोमीटर।
समापन – पटना के निकट गंगा नदी में।
